Chic Products from Office Candy

I work from home. In addition to giving me freedom to wear what I want throughout the day (yes, I’m in my PJs right now…don’t judge me), it also affords me a little leeway about office supplies. In other words, I don’t have to worry about Mary in accounting stopping by my desk, seeing my Dead Fred pen holder, and running off to HR to extol how I’ve disturbed her delicate sensibilities. So unless our two dogs and cat have something to say about it, my “Passive Aggressive” to do list will remain on my desk.

I believe life is way too short for boring file folders (and of course not all of them have to be as disturbing as Fred). Office Candy agrees. So they’€™ve added a little flourish to the task of stapling, filling and mundane office tasks by gathering the most fashionable office supplies around. You didn’€™t know Lilly Pulitzer made pens, pencils, highlighters and sticky notes, now did you?

This is not your neighborhood Staples, Office Max or Office Depot, ladies. They offer treats in their collection from Jonathan Adler (I love his binder clips...how else will you know that stack of papers is outright “junk”), Lady Jayne, Capri Designs, Knock Knock, Jamie Raquel and MacBeth, to name a few. There are darling desktops, nifty notebooks, adorable accordion folders, cute clipboards. The alliterations go on. They even put a little kick into step stools, with fanciful designs.

And my favorite category of course is the Really Fun Stuff, with things like a manual on How to Traumatize Your Children (I bet with great tips), a WTF notepad, Fashion Citation sticky notes, and folders labeled Stuff to Hide From Boss. Yeah, my apologies to Mary from accounting. You and your delicate sensibilities wouldn’t like that at all. BTW, tell HR I said hi.
