I’ve already started mapping out my BTS shopping plan. This year, I’m including Kohl’s in my strategy. Sorry to say, but Target is so very 2011. My Back to School preview began last week when a huge locker was delivered to my apartment.
First, I have to give the Kohl’s PR team some major points. The clothes inside were my kids sizes, but I’ve never worked with them before. Color me impressed. Check out this amazing locker box:
The girls immediately started a week-long game of school with this box. As for me, I dug into the fashions inside. Here are the trends they are predicting: Top shades include mustards, emeralds, purples and reds. Denim remains essential and bold and look for tons of details on tops.
What else was news-worthy? I was excited to hear about Kohl’s latest brand partnership: Princess Vera Wang. This is a colorful, fashionable juniors label available exclusively at Kohl’s.
Designed by fashion icon Vera Wang, Princess Vera Wang is the designer’s first juniors collection. I’m told Vera Wang got inspired from her two daughters and their distinct personal styles. The collection is very fashion-y and if your girl loves embellishment and the boho aesthetic she’ll drool over this. The designs include clothing, jewelry, handbags and shoes with prices that range from $16 to $98. Momtrends approved. We liked this fun striped tee from the collection:
To celebrate the launch of Princess Vera Wang, Kohl’s & Teen Vogue to host a nationwide model search. The winner will appear in the Princess Vera Wang 2013 ad campaign. Contest starts August 1st. More information about the model search contest and rules for entry can be found at www.princessmodelsearch.com

And for the littler kids, we think the CHAPS line captures all the things we love about Ralph Lauren (preppy gorgeous clothes) while maintaining prices that won’t blow your entire BTS family budget. They even have a super line of uniform items. Here’s a little preview:
Momtrends was not paid for this post. We did get a huge box filled with goodies (unsolicited) and a gift card.
