Cake, candles, party-hats’just a few simple ingredients help create lasting and meaningful birthday memories. Unfortunately thousands of children living in homeless shelters are unable to celebrate their special day each year. Birthday parties are not only fun, but also a crucial and important factor in bringing happiness to children’s lives.
That’s where Birthday Wishes, a wonderful organization that throws birthday parties for homeless children, comes in. It has celebrated nearly 24,000 birthdays, and this spring it turns ten years-old
The organization also makes sure that homeless children living in shelters get to experience a day of pure joy that’s all about them. During its first year, Birthday Wishes celebrated the birthdays of 15 children in two different Boston-area shelters. Today, Birthday Wishes has reached nearly 24,000 children with their birthday parties, working with over 175 shelters throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Long Island, N.Y.
This spring, Birthday Wishes will celebrate its own 10th birthday and we are so excited to support this amazing organization and spread the word that every child deserves to celebrate their birthday!
