Giveaway: Kickers Shoes for Babies and Toddlers

My mother-in-law used to own a children’s shoe store in Manhattan where I quickly learned all about the importance of purchasing high quality shoes for my first daughter. As she started to scoot and quickly walk, I purchased a pair of shoes that helped her develop her muscles as well as promote flexibility with her growing foot.

As my new baby is starting to move around, she is also wearing starting to wear shoes and this time around we choose to outfit her in a pair of Kickers. Renowned as a French heritage brand that makes laid back shoes for children (and adult!), I have been loving the comfort and flexibility that it offers my baby as she scoots around the house. The brand also includes red and green circles on the heels of the shoes to tell the left from the right – not to mention fun styles that you will love!

Win it: Momtrends is giving away one pair of Kickers for a baby or toddler. Tell me what you look for when you buy shoes for your kids.

For both kids, I look for shoes that won’t show dirt too much if they are worn at daycare. For my 17 month old daughter, I also try to find shows with little to no heel, nothing between the toes, and minimal straps at the toes (we’ve had problems with her feet slipping out). I also try not to get too many shoes that have to be tied because neither child can tie their own shoes yet.
