Giveaway: Maclaren Globetrotter

Now that my baby is nine-months old (and quickly growing), I’ve noticed that our stroller is getting very heavy but I still love it since it reclines and allows her to take naps while we are on-the-go. I’ve been searching for something more lightweight and came across the new Maclaren Globetrotter, a brand new lightweight stroller that also reclines! Combining the features of the Volo, the Globetrotter conforms into two recline positions (yea, for napping on-the-go) and it is also only 10.6 pounds – making it ideal for travel. Available in Black, Crown Blue, Scarlet, Festival Fuchsia, this stroller can hold up to 55 pounds and is suitable for babies six months and up!

Win It! We are giving away one Maclaren Globetrotter Stroller. Simply leave a comment telling me what features you look for in a stroller.

  1. The Maclaren Globetrotter looks fantastic…I’ve been searching for a light-weight stroller for my 13-month old, ahead of the summer months so that we can easily take it on road trips and day excursions. Typically, I look for a stroller that is super comfy for my son, plus very durable (able to handle urban living), and easy to collapse. Not to mention handle bars that are comfortable, and enough storage at the bottom.

  2. Looks great – I’ve been through so many flimsy umbrella strollers in the past, so this sturdy looking beauty may be the answer! I look for something lightweight, folds easily without having to refer to instruction manuals, big basket for all the shopping, huge sunshade canopies, reclining seats, snack trays and stylish colors!

  3. This looks great! I always hate hovering over our simple umbrella stroller. This looks very sturdy and will be great for my 7 month old!

  4. Wow how Great! A Stylish,Durable Lightweight Stroller that Reclines…I Love it! Thank’s Maclaren!

  5. I like that the Maclaren stroller looks simple and lightweight so good for travelling. Thanks for the giveaway.

  6. I am pregnant for the first time, and I’ve never really used a stroller so I have a lot to learn! I love the idea of a reclining stroller. Thanks for the chance!

  7. Lightweight, easy to move single-handed and durable are the features I look for in a stroller

  8. I Follow @momtrends on Twitter and Follow @MaclarenNA on Twitter as@happymomc

  9. I like a stroller that would be convenint to bring along during my alone time with my baby daughter for some shopping and “mommy-and-me” time! :)

  10. I look for a stroller that easy to move around and fold up and travel with. I also want it to be safe for my baby.

  11. I look for safety first and foremost, and then I look for comfort features for my child. The adult add ons aren’t as important to me as much as making sure my daughter is safe and cozy.

  12. Lightweight is an absolute MUST! We live in NYC and I have to carry both my toddler and the stroller up and down the subway stairs several times a day.

  13. I look for strollers that can be pushed with one hand – I always seem to need an extra hand!! Maclaren’s angled handles let me do that! Good deal!!!

  14. My little girl Emily is 7 months old and I recently got rid of the pram she had at birth, as a single mum everything is a struggle at the moment and I had to get Emily a second hand pushchair. It is blue and squeaks! The Globetrotter is lightweight (ideal for bus travel) a lovely feminine colour and great for out shopping with a big basket and handles rather than a bar that will not hold bags. This pushchair would be a dream come true for my little girl x

  15. Please ignore my comment! Just realised it’s US residents only and I’m in the U.K :(

  16. Love it loyal fan of maclaren strollers so happy that it reclines i would be the happiest mom ever to win this stroller

  17. I look for a stroller to be dependable, sturdy, and lightweight. It has to be collapsible for on the go, but safe for my kids to ride in. My husband is tall so handles being taller is a must so he is able to help push without being bent over. I hope I win this!!

  18. Looks great! We love our Techno XT, but I’ve been looking for something more lightweight for the train (but sturdier than a cheap umbrella stroller).

  19. I mostly look for convenience, as in small and portable. Other than that I like comfortable handles, easy to use brakes, and a reclining seat.

  20. I love umbrella strollers that the baby can ie down in. That’s whats missing on mine and I regret buying it all the time.

  21. I look for strollers that are compact, lightweight, and stylish. The stroller we currently have is heavy and bulky and hard to drag everywhere. I live on the second floor and let me tell you it is a major struggle getting that giant thing upstairs with my little guy. I am dying to get a new lighter stroller. This mama needs a break.

  22. MANEUVERABILITY – It was hard trying to find an umbrella stroller that maneuvered well and had handles tall enough for my husband. We love Maclarens!

  23. I think the stroller that mom or dad can fold up and jump on public transportation is the best! And now the globetrotter reclines?!? SI GREAT!!

  24. I love a stroller that can be opened as one-handed as possible. It’s difficult with two kiddos to stop everything and open one up! I love that this one is so light also.

  25. Look for stroller that is lightweight, easy folding, sturdy, and looks good.

  26. I bought the Volo when my girl was 6 months (the travel system i had from birth was getting increasingly heavy!). However, it doesn’t get as much use as it should as I really wish it reclined. This stroller has it all.

  27. I have tested Volo for my baby once. It is really light, and easily folded. But the problem is Volo can not be reclined and also I am wondering whether it is good for my baby’s waiste if he sitting for a long time (1 or 2hours). Because the material of sitting area is very soft without any hard supporting equiepment.
Therefore, if there is one stroller could be both lighter (around 4-5kg) and reclined, also considering the saftey of baby’s sitting area, that would be perfect! I’d like to win this new stroller: Maclaren Globetrotter Stroller to have a try

  28. I’m always looking for something lightweight, small & easy to handle. I had liked the other maclaren (volo) but love that this one reclines now too. a wonderful added feature.

  29. I sooooo need this! My baby is 10 months old, and with two other kiddos in tow, I don’t have room for my big, bulky stroller in the back of the car anymore. This would be perfect!

  30. I look for something lightweight and compact that is also sturdy and comfortable. Love Maclaren’s! Would love to win one for my friend!

  31. I wonder which stroller my little baby would choose if she could? Since she can’t …. well, I am a tall mom so I always look for stroller to accommodate that. And I need a lightweight stroller — taking out the dog for a walk, baby in tow, down the windy stairs is quite an adventure if you do not have the right equipment. Plus I need: comfort for the baby and style for BOTH of us :-) I am pretty sure that the Globetrotter will fit all the requirements! Both me and Fara (“the baby”) would be absolutely thrilled to have it!

  32. I look for something that is easy to fold and easy to push as well as comfy for baby! Great stroller and giveaway – thanks! nlevdan3 at yahoo dot com

  33. I love Maclarens haven’t had the privilege of a brand new one though. They’re obviously already really comfortable as they’re the only strollers my son will fall asleep in. I look for lightweight mostly as i don’t drive so i need something light to fold for buses etc.

    Like both facebook pages!!

  34. Our little girl just turned one, and we’ve been looking a lightweight stroller that offers both comfort and safety for our little one, but convenience and ease of use for mom and dad. I like that the Globetrotter reclines, too, as some of the other lightweight strollers don’t have that option.

  35. I look for something easy to fold up and comfortable for the baby. A cute color helps too!

  36. I am a new Mom of an 11 month old boy that I recently adopted from Morocco. I am a single parent and am always looking to others for great ideas/recommendations. I have a great stroller, but need something smaller and lighter for traveling.

  37. I love a stroller the straps him in like this he has anglemans syndrome we go 3 times a week to his therapy and in between to lots of doctor apportionments the light weight would be incredible. I follow on twitter @waterbluffy and on fb julie sharwtz

  38. I look for storage and pockets to put all my stuff :) Stoller weight is also an important feature especially how often you have to pick it up and move it!

  39. This would be great for city use! Subways and buses carrying a heavy stroller up the stairs with an active toddler is challenging!

  40. Features I look for are definitely Comfort for my baby, lightweight, color options and how easy it is to fold up and put in my suv.

  41. My little Kylie is 7.5 months and getting heavier by the minute… :) I am not the world strongest mommy. I need something lightweight that I can lift in and out of the trunk easily that doesn’t weigh a lot on its own since she is adding so much to it.

  42. I look for a stroller that is made with quality fabric, that is easy to use and safe :)

  43. I look for an easy one-hand fold…so key for a busy mom who wishes she had five hands but is usually left with one – if that.

  44. Light weight, easy to maneuver, comfortable, durable… Maclaren! I can already see my son strolling in his new ride. Thanks for hosting a wonderful giveaway

  45. I look for something I can steer with one hand, space underneath and a decent sun-cover.

    And I follow @momtrends :)

  46. I look for a stroller that is comfortable for my baby girl, protects her from the sun, and is light enough for me to get in and out of the trunk by myself.

  49. I would like a 5-point harness, and reclining options, as well as a sun shield.

  50. I look for a light stroller that’s easy to maneuver and fold, that’s comfy for the little one. A storage basket and cup/snack holders are always a plus.

  51. Lugging my baby up the subway stairs is a reality of NYC life. In the beginning it was not so bad’€¦a 14 pound stroller and an 8 pound baby? No problem!! NOW, however, my 25 pound toddler makes the subway trek a bit more daunting. I didn’t get the VOLO because it lacked the recline feature. I’m thrilled to hear that the Globetrotter is lightweight AND reclines. Hello whole-day city outings!!!

  52. With a family vacation on the horizon and a very active and growing 15 month old boy whose family is always on the go in the city, the features we look for in a stroller are…
Super Lightweight with a strap to carry with one or no hands, Durable/Sturdy to last for a few years, Sleek Style with great Color Choices, Compact Size for busy streets/shopping areas but Comfortable enough for baby to Sit and enjoy or Recline and take a much needed Nap, Adjustable and comfortable Safety Harness, Foot-operated /Easy to use Brakes, Large Sun / Water-Resistant Hood for great coverage/protection, Spacious Underseat Basket, Comfortable Handle Bars, Washable Seat and fabric to keep looking clean, Easy to use with One hand Steering/folding/carrying while carrying or holding our son’s hand. I didn’t think I can get all that in one stroller for under $200 but then came the Maclaren Globetrotter Stroller…I am crossing my fingers and have liked Momtrends and Maclaren on Facebook.

  53. i love this!!! my daughter has just turned two and iv been looking for a new lightweight maclaren stroller that reclines as my daughter still loves her naps, and we need something that isnt too heavy for when she wants to walk.

  54. I completed all 3 steps. My Facebook name is Stephanie Polen Reed and my twitter name is @Mom_2_Max. Thanks for the giveaway!

  55. I look for something that is easy to set up when you are ready to use it and having my baby be comfortable in the stroller.

  56. I look for a stroller that goes as fast as I do! That will fold for the bus, be light enough to carry up the subway stairs and handle both my one year old and four year old. I have a well loved volo but a recline for napping would be incredible. Not that my kids ever nap reliably! Love Maclarens they are the best

  57. I look for a stroller that is light weight. It’s so tough to get a stroller in and out of my car when it’s heavy and bulky!

  58. When I am looking for a stroller I am looking for something simple to fold/store away, lightweight, check the weight limitation because you don’t want to get a stroller that you can only use for a couple of months and I always make sure the wheels glide and don’t get stuck!

Then of course I check for a cute color or pattern after it meets all the above requirements ;)

  59. I like the adjustable reclining positions and that it is lightweight. That’s so important because you use a stroller most when you’re on the go.

  60. I NEED this we recently brought our stroller to Disney World and my daughter fell asleep twice in it and she has a bladder problem and she wets herself sometimes and she did twice in the carriage. We had to throw it away. I am in desperate need of a new one! and to have this amazing stroller would mean everything to us!

  70. Strong, light-weight, and easy to fold/unfold. I also want to make sure my child is comfortable!

  71. I have to have a stroller that’s compact enough when folded that it fits into the trunk of my car. I also like something lightweight – and with a cup holder or ability to add one!
