I do love hunting down fashion news. Last week my style sojourn brought me to the NYDJ showroom in New York City. The brand was gathering bloggers for an afternoon preview of the spring and summer lines.
I got to peruse the line with executives from NYDJ and I picked out three big trends:
Ankle detail–could be a zipper or a bit of sparkle (I vote zipper).
Color–this isn’t a big news flash. Last fall red was the rage this spring cobalt and green are the hot hues.
Animal prints–leopard and snake have been interpreted in subtle ways. This would be our top pick of what to add to your closet this spring.
Since, I knew that I would be trying on jeans, I toted along a pair of versatile heels from Sofft. I had on my coral sweater from Theory (yes, you’ve seen it before and you’ll likely see it again!) and a great necklace from Payless–yep, you never know when or where you are going to nab an accessory that seemingly works with everything.
In addition to these three trends, NYDJ had some terrific denim skirts with the same slimming technology. Bravo for not making the skirts super skimpy. They will be a welcome addition to the chic mom’s spring wardrobe.For more information visit http://www.nydj.com/
