Oscar Fashion Recap

Time to run down the top 5 looks at the Oscars. Coming in at #1. Gwenyth in in Tom Ford. Impeccable hair and make-up. I’m loving her GOOp newsletters and hope she posts on this look. I’d love to hear how it came together.

#2 And I might get some push-back here…Tina Fey. I loved the Caronlina Herrera gown for the old world glamor and for the way it made Tina shine.

#3 Sandra Bullock. The drama of this Marchesa gown is what draws me in.

#4 Jennifer Lopez. I feel like I seen this before. But this is my kind of deja vu. Zuhair Murad is the designer.

#5 Maria Menounos (access hollywood) wearing a Maria Lucia Hohan. I don’t know the actress or the designer. But this dress made me google both of them.

And an honorable mention to Glenn Close. The color is gorgeous. I’m just not feeling the jacket. Thoughts?

And what was up with the wet seal dresses? Both Anna Faris and Rose Byrne had them on. Not attractive.

    • Thanks Bonnie. I am mixed on Jessica. Her hair and makeup were flawless.

  • Denise

    J Lo’s dress – total deja vu …..

    • I think it was the year she was engaged to ben affleck. 2001?

  • Love your picks, although I was not on board with Sandra’s dress. The top didn’t seem to fit right and cut her awkwardly. Loved the back of the dress though!

    • Agree, she’s got a great figure and something less blousy would have been better, but who’s going to argue with Marchesa?

      • Very true! I usually love Marchesa– maybe that’s why I was so disappointed by this one!
