During this time of year moms are usually the ones running around and making sure that everyone on their wish list gets the perfect present. This year, we asked our writers and editors what they want. They came up with a fun list includes the latest line of i phones, jewelry and maybe one of the hardest gifts to get: an uninterrupted shower. Here’s hoping their significant others are reading this!
Kate Bayless (Writer):
Something from Apple: The new iPhone 4, an iPad, a new laptop. I’ll take any of them. Or all of them! I have been very good this year, Santa….
An Uninterrupted Shower: Can I get an amen?
Shannon Carino (Food Editor):
A Red KitchenAid Mixer: The ultimate mixer complete with a five-quart stainless steel bowl and 10 speeds – not to mention a killer red that will look amazing on any countertop.
Kate Spade “Mrs” Necklace: A gorgeous gold plated metal necklace that says so much.
Kerri Gristina (Writer):
iPad, iPad, iPad: I think it is my time. How can a social media savvy mom be without one?
Dress Boots: After researching around, I hear that Zappos.com has a large selection of boots for all sizes including an extra wide calf. Leather boots are so popular now, I just wish for a pair or two that fits well!
Elizabeth Leach (Writer):
Blue Staffordshire Dogs: I am craving these Blue Staffordshire Dogs because they are a British classic with twist, the pop of blue. I see them on my mantel or in the hutch in my dining room. I love the cheeky take on a classic and blue is my favorite color.
Jonathan Adler Muse Teapot and Sugar and Creamer: I’m always on the look out for items to fill my dining hutches and this teapot by Jonathan Adler is perfect because it’s lovely and practical since I love tea. Tea tastes so much better when brewed in style!
Ski Slope Sweater from Madewell: Or anything from Madewell. I love the casual elegance of everything in this store. This sweater would look amazing with skinny jeans or leggings, which I wear everyday.
Michelle Spreckles (Writer):
Being an earthy-green fashionista makes buying for me a bit tricker. I found these two wish list items that I love ! Not only are they eco-friendly, they suit my style and say a little something about me. Let’s hope Santa knows where I keep my wish list!
Rebecca Kozak (Writer):
Wireless Printer: I love this! I can print from my phone any where in the house or from my computer without a worry. Also, the one that I want comes with apps on it for coloring pages to make life easier and quicker when you need something fast.
Pandora Bracelet: This is the new charm bracelet and you can make it anyway you want. I want it because I can find charms that have meaning to me and I can also have it with me always.
Classes: either cooking, dance something new to learn: I have always wanted to take cooking classes to learn something new as well as to enjoy a fun activity with my fiance. Dance classes are something else I would love to do. I took them when I was younger and it would be great exercise and just fun.
Spa Day: Everyone woman needs a day to relax and just be. I look forward to spending it with my best friend and just having girl time.
Alicia Harper (Writer):
iPhone 4s: The buzz is roaring about this phone complete with an eight mega pixel camera, more built-in apps, and Siri, a virtual assisant who can make phone calls, send messages and schedule meetings!
Mandi Fisher (Writer/Editor):
The Destined For Greatness Bag by Lululemon in Persian Purple: I know, I know, it’s just a gym bag. But it’s got so much space, you could pack everything you needed for a weekend, clothes to workout in, a laptop and STILL have plenty of room for other things. There’s so many pockets and ways to carry it all, you’ll never feel overwhelmed by how much stuff you can fit because it’s all perfectly organized.
iPad2: Yep, the iPad2 is definitely calling my name this year. And it keeps getting louder and louder as the holidays approach because I find myself carrying my computer (among a million other things…see? I need that Lululemon bag!) everywhere I go. With the sleek, light, fast iPad2, I won’t complain about my aching back or how far behind I am in my Angry Birds successes.
Anna Sandler (Writer:)
A Necklace: A necklace with charms representing each of my three kids from Jennifer Fisher Jewelry
A Nelson Swag Leg Desk to write at from Design Within Reach.
Serena Norr (Managing Editor):
Vintage Locket: Even though I am not with my daughters every second of the day, I am always thinking about them. I don’t have physical pictures of them in my wallet so to keep them close to my heart I would love this gorgeous Blue Wedding Necklace from one of my favorite websites, Etsy.com. I also really like this one because of its vibrant colors that would look perfect with both a dress or something casual.
Michael Kors Ladies Horn & Gold Runway:I love watches. I think they can be a powerful accessory as well as a functional one. I have been eying this piece by Michael Kors with its elegant tones and stylish circular timers.
