Friday Food: S’mores

What’s beter than a S’more? Nothing I can think of–especially by a campfire. With any luck, I’ll be enjoying on today at the lovely Paws Up resort in Montana. We’ll see how they interpret this classic. But my upcoming camping experience got me thinking about S’mores and I hunted down some fun interpretations on this classic treat.

Martha Stewart Matzo S’mores, substitutes the Jewish staple for graham crackers.

Directions: Break matzo into small squares.
Drizzle melted chocolate on top, and refrigerate until set, about 5 minutes.
Layer matzo squares with pieces of chocolate, marshmallows (toasted under broiler), and more matzo squares.

Gourmet S’mores were found over at TheNibble.com from Recchiuti Confections. The $22 DIY kit includes
8 Recchiuti Grahams
8 handmade Vanilla Bean Marshmallows
4-ounce 85% Bittersweet Chocolate Bar

And finally for our vegan friends, we had to share this resource–Sweet&Sara–they make vegan marshmallows. The classic gummy treat has been made animal free. Oh and they also sell pre-made marshmallows of the peanut butter variety. Yum.
