We are about to wrap up National Etiquette Week. Pardon me, I didn’t realise I was late to the table on this one. In fact this year marks the 13th annual celebration of National Etiquette Week.
To set the table properly you’ll need a plate. One of my new favorites I found at the Bubble Trade show in NYC. Smiling Planet makes “fine non china.” These BPA free earth-friendly plates are simply gorgeous. Forget about those cheap-o melamine designs. If you want good manner you’ve got the make the table look nice. Plus Mother Earth will be happy with your choice. These plates are made from 100 % recycled plastic. And the lovely designs are placed subsurface so your tiny diner can’t scratch the face off the smiling whale or dancing lions.
The 1″ lip prevents spills and messes (thank you very much) and they can be tossed in the dishwasher with ease. $12.99 for each 8″ plate.
Want more ideas? Etsy has delightful kid’s dining accessories. Here’s what I came up with:
Chalkydoodles KIDS Oilcloth Tablecloth $18
Mushroom Kids’ Cloth Napkins $8 for three

That plate is adorable!
